Besides the video, we record the padlock‑secured traffic itself, and because that traffic carries the website’s own identity certificate and can be unscrambled only one way, the recording is provably from the real site and provably shows what it actually sent, which no screenshot, video or edited file can offer.
In technical terms: this is TLS traffic capture, with the session keys preserved so the encrypted stream can be decrypted and verified against the server’s certificate by anyone, at any time. What instantproof gives you is a qualified eIDAS timestamp and seal, which under Article 41 of Regulation 910/2014 carry a presumption of accuracy and integrity, plus a sealed recording of the TLS traffic itself. That shifts the burden onto whoever disputes it. If a procedure or counterparty still requires a bailiff, the bailiff authenticates your existing package rather than starting over.
Yes. The package contains the public key, the signed manifest, the SHA‑256 hash of every file, the timestamp token and the keys to decrypt the witnessed capture. Anyone can recompute and confirm it offline. There is also a public verifier that needs no account.
